BestPopUpStores can you present us your company ?

Andreas Rauschenberger : The Rauschenberger Catering & Restaurants GmbH & Co. KG is a leading event caterer and also runs 3 restaurants. The vision of the company is to be an excellent gastronomy service provider with high quality service and perfect internal processes.

 

BestPopUpStores : What are the reasons behind launching this pop-up store? What is the role of the pop-up store within the marketing strategy of the company ? Which goals are you trying to achieve?

AR : We were focused on giving our customers a new event. We wanted to arise a volatile event, that goes beyond the limitations of traditional cuisine and gets over its spatial, temporal and creative shackles. Nothing must. But everything can be and must be developed out from the depths of the imagination. Together with Birgit Martinez from decor & more we wanted to give a culinary experience as a stage. All senses appealing. A sensual blend of food, sparkling, crackling atmosphere of art in the room. Conversation. Dialogue. Encounter. Guests who are part of the production itself.

 

BestPopUpStores : How was the conception and the realization of the pop-up store carried out ? Were you helped in this process or was everything done internally ? How did you decide on the duration and localization of the pop-up store ?

AR : As the company moved into its new building the idea of lounching a pop up restaurant in collaboration with decore & more was born. The old industrial hall provided the best conditions to invent this innovative gastronomic experience.

 

BestPopUpStores : According to you, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a pop-up store ? Are you satisfied with the results achieved (or being achieved) and which conclusions do you draw of this initiative ?

AR Our pop up restaurant appears once a year and each appearance is different. The Supper Club opens only a few nights a year an has become a subcultural event for urban explorers and is extremely popular. Since our premiere we were looking forward to have lots of interested an curious guests loving the mixture of food innovation, bar culture and chillout sounds in an avant-garde art scenery. It is a great effort but it is worth it and we love this possibility to live out our creativity and giving people great events.
