In this article, I will tell you about the superb window displays in the Vuitton shops in Paris. For Christmas 2024, they were all on the theme of the carousel, and a street marketing operation was even organized.

The festive season allows retailers to make their window displays irresistible. As every year, Louis Vuitton lived up to its reputation. This year, the theme was the funfair, an opportunity for Vuitton to organize a superb street marketing operation.

Shop windows, an essential element of retail marketing
Over the years, I’ve spoken on this blog about the importance of shop windows and published photos of the most beautiful of them. Those created by Louis Vuitton are among the most spectacular in existence. Remember, for example, the ‘dinosaur’ windows that enchanted Christmas 2013? Window displays are a key element in street marketing, as they make shoppers stop and anchor the brand in their imagination.
Encouraging shoppers to stop is the first step before getting them in the door. So, it’s part of the customer experience. Let’s apply an inbound vs. outbound marketing approach to the world of retail:
- All the advertising a brand does contributes to its outbound marketing
- The shop window is an element of inbound marketing because it expresses the brand and attracts customers.
I constantly monitor the most beautiful shop window displays, and Christmas 2024 did not disappoint.
Christmas 2024: Vuitton’s carousel windows
The windows of the Vuitton flagship stores I visited were all decorated in the colors of the carousel. Those on the Champs-Elysées were particularly spectacular, as they were also animated.
Here are a few photos I took to capture the moment. The size of the windows produced a truly spectacular effect.
But Vuitton didn’t stop there.
A Vuitton carousel on Place Vendôme
Vuitton extended the experience with a street marketing operation on Place Vendome to continue the theme. Opposite its shop, the brand set up a real carousel! Children and adults alike could take a free ride on the carousel, which was staffed by an employee in a delivery van. Needless to say, you had to queue to get on.
The weather wasn’t great when I was there, but the sight of the carousel with the Vendome column in the background was quite spectacular.
